On July 23, 2020, STAMEQ (Ministry of Science and Technology) represented Vietnam to chair the 30th<\/sup> Meeting of the Rubber-Based Product Working Group (RBPWG) under ACCSQ in the form of online.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Science and Technology <\/b><\/span>represented<\/b><\/span> Vietnam to chair the the 30<\/b><\/span><\/span>th<\/sup> Meeting of the Rubber-Based Product Working Group (RBPWG).<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On the ASEAN side, there were more than 30 representatives from member states and the ASEAN Secretariat. On the Vietnamese side, there were representatives from STAMEQ, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and Vietnam Rubber Research Institute.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, ASEAN countries exchanged and agreed to organize the 30th<\/sup> Meeting of Rubber-Based Product Working Group via the online form, with Vietnam as the host country.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting heard reports on the results of the 21st <\/sup>Meeting of Task Force on Rubber-Based Products  (TFRBP) and the 2nd <\/sup>Meeting of the ASEAN Rubber Testing<\/em> Laboratories Committee<\/em> (ARTLC<\/em>); Report on the implementation of the working program of the Technical Committee of the Standardization Organization for Rubber- ISO\/TC 45; Updating the list of rubber testing laboratories and activities of Japan \u2013ASEAN integration fund; Updating information on conferences and exhibitions of international rubber gloves, biodegradable rubber gloves, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting also recognized Thailand’s role as President of RBPWG and Vietnam assumed the role of Vice President of RBPWG on a rotating obligation.<\/span><\/p>\n
